I have mixed feelings on the idea of being a college senior. Firstly, I am looking forward to the final chapter of my college life. Secondly, I am loathing the idea of being more stressed because I will have to balance reading assignments, exams, term papers, and on top of that, my thesis. Thirdly, I am sad about leaving behind my friends, many of my professors who have served as insiprations to excel, and of course, my university. Finally, I am scared about facing the process of job searching. In these uncertain times, retaining a job is anything but easy. So how will the prospect of finding a job seem plausible?

I have been very vocal about this concern to my loved ones. I may have even included it in my term papers in psychology class. I told my family and my friends that the uncertainty of getting a job is really bothering me so I might consider obtaining a master's degree before I join the work force. Luckily, my parents approve of the idea since my parents did the same thing. Most of my friends have though it over and might do the same.

These uncertain times have prompted many to deviate from their original plan of starting a career right away. It certainly has affected mine. I hope the economic crisis alleviates soon because not a lot of students are willing and can afford to prolong their stay in school.
