Fertililty Side Effects...

Hi everyone,
I was taking the clomid the last few months, of course with my luck I had a lot of side effects. They caused cycsts on my ovaries, which then we would have to wait a month to see if they had gone away, then by the third cycle of clomid my uterine linning had become very thin.
Now my dr is going to be trying me on Femara. Has anyone taken this? I did some research and it seems like it has very strong side effects, the mood swings, hot flashes, etc. I was just wondering if anyone has experienced many side effects to either drugs. Just want to make sure I"m not going crazy...Thank you

hey Nikki,

no your not going crazy....
when i was on the clomid my husband called me the walking moodswing.
i had huge side effects. cramping hot and cold flushed mood swings like it was going out of fasion head aches etc..
when you where on the clomid did they monitor you?

Hi Marsha,

They did monitor me,but it was mainly for the physical part, the cysts and the uterine lining, never asked about the other side effects. I will be starting the Femara this month, given that the cysts aren't there anymore when I do an ultrasound. Have you heard anything about Femara, good or bad? I just read to my husband what you wrote - I think its so hard for guys to understand because they don't go through it themselves, but he tries ha ha. Thank you for writing me back :)
